College Values, Leadership and Community Engagement
Successful colleges have a strong, coherent set of values, which underpin their strategic vision, leadership, decision making, the experiences of their learners and their relationships with the communities they serve. This workshop looks at how this approach can;
- make educational and business sense in the current environment
- utilise other frameworks, including SMSC, OFSTED and the Equalities Act, to support effective change
- achieve a positive impact on student performance, community engagement and college culture
Outcomes
Discussion led by college principals will provide an opportunity to reconsider;
- The relationship between college values, mission and strategic objectives
- The contribution which college values and leadership can make to community cohesion
- The value of external frameworks such as smsc and the Equalities Act in the context of college culture and leadership.
